Dear <<First Name>>

Autumn term

We hope this newsletter finds you well. We’re really looking forward to seeing you all for the start of the Autumn term.  We’d love to hear from you. Please let us know your plans, especially if you’re not ready to come back yet.

We’ve had some “back to singing sessions” over the summer. The focus has been on vocal technique, building stamina and building our confidence in singing together as a group. If you haven’t been able to make any of these, don’t worry at all.

Term starts this Thursday, September 2nd 7:30 - 9:30pm
As always, please check the Choir calendar for the latest dates and times.

Safe rehearsals

We have carried out a Covid19 Risk Assessment and are keeping up to date with government guidelines, and we will act to ensure safe rehearsals. If you have any concerns please speak to Alison.

Committee meeting
We have a committee meeting on 9th November so please email  chair@smce.org.uk if there’s anything you’d like us to discuss; this can include repertoire.

New singers
We welcome new singers. Please put them in touch with Alison, via the website, so that she can confirm they will enjoy our rehearsals. People should have been singing regularly, be able to read music, be able to sight read a simple line and sing in tune.

Temporary change to our Data Protection rules

Normally, we keep people registered as a member of the choir for a year after their last term, but - due to Coronavirus and the lockdown - we suspended this rule until we were able to rehearse again.

So, if you don't join us in September for the this term, we'll remove you from the Choir Members mailing list; you'll still be on the Friends mailing list though, so you get notifications of our concerts. If you no longer want to receive these notices, you can unsubscribe from either list using the link at the bottom of every email.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
