Surgical masks slow the spread

A large, randomized trial found that surgical masks slow the spread of COVID-19 and that low-cost interventions increase mask-wearing compliance.

Hackathon aids wildfire response

As part of the 2020 Big Earth Hackathon, students developed innovative wildfire prevention and response strategies; two projects were selected for collaboration with CAL FIRE.

Group Fitness registration: Registration opens Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. for group fitness classes on the main and Stanford Redwood City campuses and for recreational classes on the main campus. Group fitness classes begin Sept. 20; recreational classes begin Sept. 27.
