Staff Vaccination and Testing

Earlier last week, Gov. Pritzker mandated that all Illinois teachers and school staff (PreK-12) either be vaccinated or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing. Since the start of the school year, D181 has been collecting vaccination cards and offering surveillance testing to all of our staff members. As a result of this week's mandate, D181 is focused on ensuring that every staff member has either complied with the Sept. 5 vaccination date or signed up for weekly testing.

BIKE RODEO
- Hey 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade Parents!

Hope you had a wonderful summer and kids had a great start of school!

Do you think that your child is ready to ride his/her own bike to/from school?  Or if your student has not done a Bike Rodeo and is interested in doing so?  The Bike Rodeo is back to Elm after a break last year due to the pandemic.  In this course, students will watch a video to learn about rules of safety, get their bike checked and registered with the Burr Ridge Police Department, and most importantly, bikers will take a road test and get a bicycle license which they will be proud to have!

This event will take place right after school on Tuesday, September 14th.  If your child is signed up via the Google form below, his/her teacher will have a list of names and have them report to the school black top. Please send a bike and helmet to school before dismissal so your child  has one to participate in the event.

If your child is interested in attending  this year's bike safety course, please click here  to register. Here's the link to the Google form https://forms.gle/VPNQdqEd7WQfEeHr5

Parent Volunteers Needed:  To make this event happen, we need parent volunteers to help with setting up, hosting various stations, directing flow of students, etc. Please review the available slots and sign up here . Thank you!
