This past weekend was a time of great joy for my family.  Our daughter was married in a beautiful and blessed ceremony at our own Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul.  In attendance was over a fourth of her former classmates from the Bishop Gorman graduating class of 2004, one of whom was the groom.  A former teacher, Ms. Linda Mooney, said the blessing at the reception.  That is when you know that what we are doing here really matters.  Love and lifelong friendships built through His grace are a result of what we do together at Bishop Gorman Catholic School.  I hope we can continue to work together to continue this tradition of fellowship. God bless

Middle School and High School Formation
At Bishop Gorman we desire to have an integral formation of our students. To fulfill this goal, we are continuing the implementation of a virtue program (https://www.sportsleader.org/) with our middle school students. We are dedicating time each week to focus on a virtue of the month. The goal is to help them understand character development and challenge them to live virtue in their daily lives.  This month's virtue is Discipline.

High school students have a dedicated time once every other week to participate in a small group discussion with their peers over meaningful topics. There are several goals for these formation periods:
  1. Learning how to have a respectful discussion.
  2. Learning how to lead a small group.
  3. Learning how to be more reflective over serious topics.
Last formation period the high school students had a discussion over the quality of their friendships (CLICK HERE).  This week they will be discussing the importance of empathy (CLICK HERE).

If you have any questions about formation, please contact our school chaplain, Fr. Zachary Dominguez, at zdominguez@bishopgorman.net.
