One parishioner's experience giving by phone to the Episcopal Migration Ministries:

" I spoke with a representative this morning.  They are working with 8 different organizations (like Catholic Charities)  to help Afghan  refugees  get settled.  Basically, they need money.  It takes $3000 for every individual they help...supporting them and getting them started as they come to the U.S.  They need people and communities to take them in.  They will be needing clothing, but she wasn't specific about that. They (the EMM) don't seem to be set up for that yet. The person was easy to talk with."
