I wanted to share with you some of my thoughts concerning the historical events that have unfolded in Afghanistan this past month. I also share a family and ministry update at the beginning of this video.

We finally found a competent doctor that our Nigerian student Excellent could see. This week we made two trips to the hospital with him. They decided to do another bronchoscopy because the previous one was unsuccessful in getting the tissue they needed. Now we will wait about 2 weeks for results to come back. Thankfully, he and his sisters were also able to find an apartment to rent in downtown Odessa that is conveniently located.

In the meantime school has started this week for our kids and for many of the students who are a part of our church. This saturday we will meet with our leadership team to plan for our Russian club to begin this month. I would really appreciate your prayers about this since it is our church's main outreach and ministry to the international community.

This past Sunday we had a special presentation on Nepal in our church. Brother Chandra is a believer from Nepal who moved to Odessa just a few months ago. He is loves Jesus and he wants to share the gospel with other Nepalese and Indians in Odessa. Please pray that Brother Chandra would be successful in this endeavour as he comes alongside our church.

Next week I will travel to Shepetivka, Ukraine to train the volunteers at the "Inspiration Center" a ministry that works with Gypsies and other low income people in Western Ukraine. Please pray for Pastor Yury and myself as we travel and teach. Pray also for Christina and the kids as they must travel to and from school each day without me that week.
