Introducing "Potential to Powerhouse" by Tracy Holland

I am thrilled to feature the formidable Tracy Holland, founder & CEO of HatchBeauty Brands, and her new podcast, "Potential to Powerhouse," in this week's edition of #hacksthenewsletter. On her new podcast, Tracy brings together women sharing their collective wins and losses, obstacles and hurdles, so listeners can build their dreams as quickly and efficiently as possible. I was honored to be featured in it and you can find our episode together HERE. Below you will also find my exclusive Q&A with Tracy on all she's learned as an entrepreneur and why she launched "Potential to Powerhouse".

AJR:  Why did you launch Potential to Powerhouse?
TH:  Mentorship from other powerhouse female entrepreneurs isn’t always readily available. Women have been competing for a seat at the table, which has historically made female entrepreneurs view each other as competition instead of resources and collaborators. Combine all of this with the overwhelming pressure on women in their 30’s to find a love match, have a family, and build a massive career all in the same decade. By the way, she is expected to do all of this with an effortless smile!

The concept behind Potential to Powerhouse is fueled by my passion to connect with, and uplift women who have entrepreneurial aspirations. I wish I had access to powerhouse women who could have helped guide me through the hills and valleys on my early journey to success.

AJR:  What are the hardest lessons you have learned as an entrepreneur?
TH:  Forget you’re female. Do not let it hold you back as to why you ‘can’t do it, won’t get funded, or won’t be taken seriously.’ Remove it from the equation.  It will free up your headspace to do what needs to get done versus worrying about how you are perceived while you do it.

Also, you can have children and a career. It took some time, but I eventually learned how to successfully balance life and a business. It’s very possible to be extremely successful and not work all hours of the day and night.

AJR What are the greatest wins from your time at Hatch that you will forever treasure?
TH:  Winning Entrepreneur of The Year for Los Angeles was a proud moment for me. I was also voted out of all seven cities to go to nationals where I won 4th place overall.  As an entrepreneur, you don’t often get acknowledged for your work, so this was a special win for me.

In 2019 I was a Fashion & Beauty award winner for Beauty Service Provider of the year. These awards,  coupled with being able to mentor and invest in my former HatchBeauty employees to become entrepreneurs themselves are what I consider my biggest wins.

AJRWhat will the world look like five years from now if the Powerhouse Revolution is achieved?
TH:  More connectedness, vulnerability, and candid compassion: these are my goals for Potential to Powerhouse. As I watch this phase of my life unfold, staying connected to my value, and my values, is imperative, and sharing this with the greatest number of people to inspire and delight is the movement I want to see and be a part of.

I would strongly encourage you to catch an episode or two of Tracy's podcast and you can do so by listening here!
