Shana Tova Dear Family!

We are excited to celebrate Rosh Hashanah this weekend! Pastor Nestor and Gianna will take us on a special journey to increase our biblical understanding of Rosh Hashanah and how Gentile believers can benefit. After service, we will enjoy Oneg with traditional sweets such as apples and honey to welcome the Jewish New Year.

It is customary to wear white for Rosh Hashanah as it is a symbol of purity, cleanliness, and new beginnings. Because of this symbolism, many Jews wear white clothing during this holiday. You are more than welcome to join in!

Round challah bread is also served during Rosh Hashanah which symbolizes the never-ending cycle of years and seasons. We will learn about this and many other interesting aspects of Rosh Hashanah during our special presentation.

1) Plan to attend this weekend's service
2) Join the Discipleship class next Wednesday
3) See the PRAYER section below and thank you for interceding

See you Saturday!

We love each of you!

FALL FEASTS

Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year / Feast of Trumpets), September 6-8 - Don't miss the Jewish New Year celebration at this weekend's service.

Ten Days of Awe - These are Ten Days of Repentance, a time for reflection and focusing on things eternal that culminates in Yom Kippur. We encourage all to be in prayer and reflection.

Yom Kippur, September 15-16 - A day of fasting, the holiest day in the Hebrew calendar. We encourage everyone to fast. As a church family, we will break the fast at Rosa's Cafe in Hurst at 7:00 pm.

Sukkot, September 20-27 - Feast of Booths, commemorates Israel’s 40 years of wandering in the desert. Christians believe it will be fulfilled when Jesus returns to Earth. If you can, build your own booth as a family and re-tell the story of Exodus to your children.
