OWN WORDS TRIAL BRIEF. From Tim Dummer.
I had a trial date Friday, August 13th, 2021 against the City of San Francisco and the SFPUC (San Francisco Public Utilities Commission) regarding the opening of Calaveras Reservoir to the public, after over 100 years of it being closed.
The 13th was continued to November 19th, 2021.Calaveras agreed to open it, but for 2 years have done nothing.
I took this suit *pro per because, believe it or not, I could find zero lawyers willing to go against the SFPUC, though they all agreed it was a meritorious suit.
Please see my trial brief below.

VIDEO. From the Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside (SAM) meeting on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at 7:00pm by Zoom.
Linda Sawyer, a consultant from Brown and Caldwell, presents. She explains that tracking the sewer plant upsets will speed up the testing by using the 2-hour Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) testing as a leading indicator.
The 5-day BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) tests will back up the COD testing. BOD takes 5-days because the bugs have to grow in a lab. Quicker, daily testing will help understand the BOD and the plant upsets better.

As part of this process, the city will be removing the sculpture from its current location.

“The interests of the Spring Valley Water Company (we know it today as Crystal Springs Reservoir) were strictly profit based because they held a monopoly on San Francisco’s water supply before the Raker Act. The building of the water infrastructure in the Hetch Hetchy would mean they would no longer be able to control prices. The Irrigation Districts of Modesto and Turlock relied on the watershed from the Tuolumne River and the construction of a dam would limit their water supply. All of these interests combined were not enough to defeat the Raker Act because of the larger public interests in San Francisco."
