The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is encouraging businesses and individuals to sign up to the 2021 Scottish Resources Conference, Towards Net Zero: Adapting to Scotland's changes resources landscape. The conference is taking place online between 8 - 9 September 2021 and attendance is free.

This year, the conference will consider the role of net zero in the evolving landscape of Scotland’s resources sector and ask what this means for both the country’s resources and the country itself.
|
|
This virtual event will consider the country’s plans for Extended Producer Responsibility, including updates on its Deposit Return Scheme and its impending landfill ban. It will look at how the Scottish Government intends to take forward its ‘plastic tax’, the possible shape of its Circular Economy Bill, and the longer-term pathway to transform Scotland into a circular economy.

You’ll hear from industry panellists, expert speakers and government representatives, including SEPA’s CEO Terry A’Hearn, as they discuss what’s next in the face of these changes and ask what this means in the context of Scotland’s net zero planning.
