The countdown has begun to Global Handwashing Day! Every year on October 15, Global Handwashing Day serves as a platform to raise global awareness on the importance of handwashing with soap. Over the past 18 months, the COVID-19 pandemic brought unparalleled attention to the importance of handwashing. As we continue to combat the pandemic and gradually move into a new normal, we must continue to recognize that hand hygiene is a fundamental component of health and public safety. This year’s Global Handwashing Day theme is “Our Future is at Hand - Let’s Move Forward Together." This theme calls for all of society to invest in better hand hygiene to ensure a healthier and safer future.
