Colorado Independent Congressional Redistricting Commission to hold hearings on staff plan
The Colorado Independent Congressional Redistricting Commission announced today the details for hearings on the first staff plan. In order to maximize the opportunity to hear public testimony despite the condensed schedule, and due to growing concerns about COVID-19, the commissioners will not travel but will instead hold hearings virtually on each district over the course of four days.
Legislative personnel will staff an in-person location at each hearing. While this in-person option is available for the public, individuals wanting to testify are encouraged to do so virtually. Coloradans must sign up in advance to testify and can do so at https://redistricting.colorado.gov/signup.
Each hearing will focus on one or two districts however the public can testify about any district or topic at any hearing.
