September Worship Survey

Everybody Welcome

Everybody is invited to come to a series of 4 meetings starting on 18th September to explore what a welcoming church looks like, and how we at St. Mary's can be the best welcoming church ever.
We will cover four topics
1  Discover - making the church more visible
2  The premises - making them more inviting
3  Welcoming - God and his welcoming people
4   Belonging - to the church community
The session lasting 1.5 hours will be on Saturday afternoons in and around our church.
Drinks served from 2pm for 2:30 start
We need as many people as possible from the different strands of our church to come and help shape the future of St. Mary's
September 18th
October 2nd
October 23rd
November 6th
Please sign up on the lists in church so we can have enough booklets available before the course starts and then come to as many meetings as possible.
if you could make an evening meeting on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday rather than the Saturday ones please let Marcus or Simon know and we will try and arrange this.

Dwell Well

Rev Marcus delivers the 35th tenancy packs to Smart Prebend. Thanks to everybody's support.
More are still needed and we are now short of glasses, pots and pans as there is a push to get all the residents into their own accommodation.  Donations can be left at church or gifts of money marked 'Dwelll Well' can be given in the offertory.

Colin Last will be cycling round churches in the north of Bedfordshire this year. To sponsor Colin see him in church or go online to justgiving.com and search for stmarysgoldington where you will find out more about what is going on and how to donate.

Mens' and Ladies' Breakfast

September will see the start of the Ladies' and Mens' breakfasts again at the Harvester. It will be a bit different in that everything will be brought to the table by waiting staff. There will probably not be the usual wide choice of cereal, yogurt, and fruit but pretty much everything else will be the same.

A cooked breakfast will be £5.99 and continental £4.49.

‘Men’s Breakfast is back! Same place same time. 9am for 9.15am on Saturday 11th September at The Harvester, 1 Riverfield Drive. Look forward to seeing you for food and chat and some ‘words of wisdom’.

Please sign up on the sheet on the table or see or ring/text Michael Barker on 07906 505287.’

Ladies' Breakfast  9am Saturday 18th September.  Please let Chris Graham know if you are coming or sign up in church.
Dear Friends,
I am delighted to invite you to Fairtrade at St Andrew's Annual Meeting 2021.  Last year we  cancelled our Annual meeting because of the Covid19 Pandemic, so we have not met for two years,

The meeting will be held at 4pm on Sunday 19 September, in the Holt Room, St Andrew's Church.

After a short business meeting,  there will be a presentation about Traidcraft Exchange and its role in supporting producers in developing countries. Traidcraft Exchange is the partner organisation of Traidcraft plc, which supplies many of the goods we sell in the shop.

This will be followed by refreshments and a chance to meet with others of our customers and supporters.  At 6pm , there will be a service focusing on Fairtrade, in the Church and I hope you will feel able to join us.

In order to help us with the catering, please let me know if you are coming to the meeting by emailing me (fionamcleod31@gmail.com) or leaving a message with the Church Office (01234 216881).

We look forward to seeing you again and to thank you in person for your support.

with all good wishes,

Fiona McLeod
