In order to better meet the needs of our community, the Hillsboro City Library is changing its hours of operation beginning Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

The New Hours:

Monday 9:00AM - 7:00PM

Tuesday 9:00AM - 6:00PM

Wednesday 9:00AM - 5:00PM

Thursday 9:00AM - 7:00PM

Friday 10:00AM - 4:00PM

Saturday 10:00AM - 2:00PM

Sunday Closed

New eBook & eAudioBook App Available

The Hillsboro City Library is always on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities to provide quality services to our patrons. After exploring various options, the Hillsboro City Library feels it has found a better e-book service, with more content, through cloudLibrary. As such, Overdrive will be going away on September 30.

In an effort to give you plenty of time to adjust to this transition, our new digital content service, cloudLibrary, goes live on September 2nd. Once you sign into cloudLibrary you will have access to more than 220,000 e-books and audiobooks from libraries across the state, including ours. This means, more titles to choose from and shorter wait times on the materials you are interested in reading.

As a part of this transition, you will also gain access cloudLibrary’s NewStand, which provides access to 7,000 magazines and newspapers from around the globe. Currently a standalone app, NewStand will integrate into the main cloudLibrary app later this year.

cloudLibrary and NewsStand are a free service, available to all library patrons – all you need is your library card number. The apps are available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. As a Hillsboro City Library Patron, you can simply download the app, log in using your library card number and pin to start interacting with the digital library while you are on the go.

As always, Hillsboro Library staff are available at the circulation desk for in person assistance with setting up your device(s) or over the phone at (254) 582-7385.

Library Open to Public, Curbside Services Remain Available

Curbside Services

Curbside Services are still available and their use is encouraged. To use our curbside service, reserve materials online at hillsboro.biblionix.com or by phone at (254) 582-7385.

Staff will retrieve your selected items and you will recieve a phone call when they are ready to be picked up.

Call the library when you are outside and a staff member will bring your materials to your vehicle.

Curbside service hours are 10AM - 5PM Monday - Friday.

Printing Services

If you are coming to the library to use one of our printing services, please consider sending your print job in advance using our mobile PrinterOn app.

You can access our printing services on your home computer by visiting: https://www.hillsborotxlibrary.org/printing-services or by downloading the free PrinterOn app to your smart phone or tablet.

Electronic Resources

The Hillsboro City Library offers a number of electronic resources such as e-books, e-audiobooks, digital magazines, graphic novels, and databases, that library patrons may use for FREE.
