As we prepare for a much more productive election period ahead of us, we want to inform you that some of our activities are already producing results, which is also evident in the increased pressure we are experiencing from those who dislike the presence of Serbian voices in the American political process. Clearly, our organizing is creating a lot of nervousness in particular circles. Since awareness is being raised within the US political landscape about the issues of our common concern, as Americans, but also as a community that has experienced decades long weaponized propaganda, we must be prepared to have all hands on deck, and stand strong in our resolve to finally defend the truth and justice for all. We are already being antagonized, labeled, and even threatened by some Albanian activists and financiers of certain politicians.
Our opposition has gotten used to spreading the propagandist stories, with bigoted and incendiary remarks and labels of the entire Serbian population, completely unopposed and unchallenged for decades. In those circles, facts are "racists" and "hateful". Here are some messages that were sent to us, with the names deliberately removed as to avoid giving them undeserved publicity.
Clearly, the mere presence of a politically engaged Serbian-American community endangers the bought and paid-for false narratives spread around for decades. Our access and relationships are a threat. This is why we need your direct involvement, meeting your representatives and candidates, in a consistent pursuit of truth.
As you know, last years campaign was an independent, grassroots effort to galvanize the American Serbs, and to engage in the political process. No matter which side of the isle you are on, SAVA PAC advocates for our joint cooperation in pursuit of common goals. The threat that we pose to our opposition became even more obvious through a propaganda piece published last week in The Daily Beast. It is a cheap hit that requires a lot of mental gymnastics to absorb it all.
However, one significant truth the article points out, Serbian-American vote holds power and is not inconsequential. "Serbs for Trump" as an independent grassroots, posed a threat and a disturbance in the widely accepted, bigoted, anti-Serbian narrative, clearly displayed in this smear as well. All else is just useless noise and irrelevant for over 1 million of American Serbs, who are finally on a path of uniting around our common interests. Do not let the artificial divisions stand in our way!
This is why we will not relent, and we are fully committed to electing principled candidates whose priorities are justice and truth above and for all. SAVA PAC needs your full attention and support.
