In May, Smart Commute was awarded a Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)  CanDo Community Telework Program Grant.  With this grant, we were able to contract with a wellness professional, Julie Byrt, to provide easy, on-demand training videos to support the health and wellness of remote workers.

The videos are actually useful to anyone working at a desk, and include wonderful tips on how to reprogram your body's stress response, how a 1-minute guided "microbreak" can help reduce the strain caused by sedentary posture, and how to activate the Kreb's Cycle to get a huge natural energy boost, sans caffeine.  All of these videos together area about 30 minutes - start watching on YouTube from anywhere, and be sure to share them with any friends, family, and coworkers who would benefit from this information!

Smart Commute developed these videos to add to the growing online library of telework supportive resources, and we plan to share additional resources produced by others in this grant program in the future!

In September 2018, Smart Commute launched the first-ever North Metro Commuter Survey.  Now in it's fourth year, data collection is happening once again right now.  This year, Smart Commute is analyzing data according to the standards that the ETRP Rule would have required.

Smart Commute takes great pride in making sure that the survey allows for thoughtful input from commuters and residents in the north area.  Typical response to this survey results in over 1,600 write-in entries from our Smart Commuters - and this data provides valuable insights for Smart Commute.  For instance, in 2019 many respondents commented with specific concerns related to RTD, and Smart Commute followed up with RTD to investigate the comments and solve problems.

While we're working closely with major employers in the north area to collect data from their employees directly, we invite response from this list, and would be happy to discuss reaching new employers with this service.  As an output, Smart Commute prepares a custom report for employers (here is an example from last year).  If you have questions about this survey, contact Catherine.

RTD’s Civil Rights Division is conducting a Language Access Survey with customers to understand their experiences and to ensure meaningful access to RTD’s programs and services. There are no right or wrong answers; RTD simply wants your opinion. The results of this survey will help RTD understand how it can better serve their customers.

Should you have any questions or if you would like to complete the survey in your native language, please contact RTD Customer Care at 303-299-6000.   Si tiene alguna pregunta o si desea completar la encuesta en su idioma materno, comuníquese con el servicio de atención al cliente del RTD al 303-299-6000.
