“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls. - (Jeremiah 6:16)
We all encounter crossroads in life - those places where faith and life meet. Sometimes they may present themselves in major life-changing decisions. At other times they are less noticeable, maybe a small choice that seems relatively harmless at the time. But the choices we make in the middle of our crossroads either will help us get to where we need to be, or take us on a detour, maybe leading us off course completely. So how do we know which path to take?
When Jeremiah shared these words, it was with a whole nation finding themselves in the middle of a crossroads. The Babylonians were at the door. They had abandoned the Lord their God, and yet the prophet is tasked with calling them to repentance. The Lord had called him to point the way back to God.
We all could use a little guidance in the middle of our crossroads. One of the things I love about the name of our church is it reminds us to meet our community in those places where faith and life meet. Like the prophet Jeremiah, we can point people back to the “ancient paths” - that is the story God has been telling. We can share with others a path of grace, and encourage them to walkin in trust. And we can help them find rest for their souls. Whether you are facing a crossroads of your own, or you just want to help others navigate an intersection you have already traveled, we invite you to join us this Sunday out at Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park. Service starts at 10 am with a baptism at the end of the service.
In Christ’s Service,
Pastor Gordon

We believe in our Kids!
We are looking for a few folks who are willing to invest in the next generation. Kids Own Worship (KOW) will be resuming this September. We could use people who would be willing to hang out with K-4th grade students once a month or once in every 2 months. Talk to Pastor Melissa if you are interested!!!!
We are also looking forward to resuming our Wednesday Night Children's program with a six week session this fall, and a six week session this winter. Whether you are interested in helping every week or a few, talk to Pastor Gordon.
Hospitality
At Crossroads we love being a community! You are invited to hang out with friends and church ‘family’ while enjoying snacks and coffee. If you are interested in learning more about how to help with hospitality, contact Pastor Melissa
