Are you dealing with changing
protocols and restrictions for 2021-22?
As we begin a new school year, we are hearing from teachers that changing situations and protocols continues to be the norm. Music Workshop is here for you! The flexibility of our program allows for use under a wide variety of situations.

Can't sing or play instruments? Your band and choir can enjoy exploring our lessons on instruments, genres, careers in music and cultures!

Can't move in the classroom? No matter the grade you are teaching, you can present the grade 6-8 version of the Music Workshop course - it does not include the Musical Movement Minute.

Need distance learning friendly lesson plans? The distance learning versions of lessons can be used with any learning management system.

Need a sub plan that is high quality, easy and works for a musical or non-musical sub? Music Workshop is ready-to-go!

Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15th - October 15th

We have two great lessons ready-to-go for Hispanic Heritage Month!

Latin America: Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean
and
Latin America: South America

We have been creating new extension activities to enhance and extend the Music Workshop lessons. Extension activities will allow you to carry the Music Workshop learning into additional days or class periods. These activities are optional extensions, but will deepen the meaning and retention and also can serve as a project-based assessment. As part of a unit, this content repetition ensures knowledge transfer for your students and includes Music Workshop into a broader scope of your curriculum.  Beginning in October, go to your user page to check out the first batch which includes a listening activity and an avid friendly "one pager" for your K-8 students. We hope these additional, optional resources will facilitate you extending the learning with Music Workshop.
