New data and updates in the catalogue
To fully measure the shock to the Canadian labour market resulting from the COVID-19 economic shutdown, a series of survey enhancements have been included in the Labour Force Survey as of April 2020, including additional questions on: working from home; concerns related to job loss; capacity to meet financial obligations; and applications to federal COVID-19 assistance programs.
EIS - Employment Insurance (EI) Beneficiaries
To respond to the needs of municipalities and community-level organizations to get a clear picture of unemployment resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic response, Statistics Canada is making Employment Insurance Statistics available at the Census S
ubdivision level. Starting February 2021, the Community Data Program should be receiving CSD-level EIS updates on a monthly basis.
Mobility In and Out of Local Immigration Partnerships Dashboard
The Mobility In and Out of Local Immigration Partnerships Dashboard visualizes immigrant mobility data for custom LIP geographies using the Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB).
This dashboard allows you to compare mobility indicators by immigration admission category, admission year (or landing year), tax year, age and gender of immigrant taxfilers.
Building Permits - detailed, 2016 - 2020
The Building Permits dataset provides the count (units) and value (dollars) of new residential and non-residential construction. These data offer a detailed breakdown of building types and the type of work done. Additionally, the number of permits issued is also included.
MIG: Migration Estimates, Table E, 2019-2020
For each CD or CMA, Table E gives details on the median income of migrant taxfilers.
Liquid Assets Dashboard
The Liquid Assets Dashboard represents the modeled estimate of 2016 mean liquid assets of economic families and persons not in economic families at the census division (CD) level which is produced by Statistics Canada. Two data sets were used to obtain the final estimates: the 2016 Survey of Financial Security (SFS) and the 2016 Census of Population.

Real-Time Local Business Conditions Index
Statistics Canada has launched the Real-Time Local Business Conditions Index an experimental statistic to measure business activity in real time during the pandemic and beyond. The index tracks business conditions in Calgary, Edmonton, Montréal, Ottawa–Gatineau, Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg.
