Show & Tell

We visited Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic primary school last week and saw something wonderful - a book vending machine! The vending machine only accepts special gold coins, which the children can earn at school...and then choose their very own book from the machine. Amazing!

Did You Know?

When we're kind or when someone is kind to us, our body produces special hormones that helps us feel more relaxed and happy. How amazing is that!?

Kind Story

Natalie had a lovely surprise when she went to a restaurant in London recently. The staff found out that Natalie, who is blind, had come to celebrate her birthday, so they secretly reproduced the braille translation of ‘Happy Birthday’ onto a cake for her!

Natalie was delighted, saying she'd never experienced thoughtfulness like that before. She said ‘it just shows how much the world needs kindness right now, how much the world needs a message of hope, needs to see people doing things and going above and beyond for each other.’

Self-Kindness Tip

Sometimes when we get mad at someone, we can hold a grudge - or stay mad at them - for a long time. But staying mad takes a lot of energy and fills our minds with bad thoughts. If there's someone you're mad at, try to forgive them. It will free up your mind for all the good thoughts to flood in!
