We at Taboo Health are excited to start off this season with a new initiative - a series of blog posts with public health and global health career platforms ThriveHire and PH Spot about the intersection of health policy and participatory art!
Once a month, we hope to provide an engaging, cumulative look at the current health policy + arts landscape for aspiring healthcare professionals, as well as for anybody interested in learning more or who are expanding their practice on the growing importance and impact of creative storytellers within global and public health.
Our first PH Spot article of the month, titled "Can Art and Culture Heal our Collective Traumas?", discusses healing from pandemic-induced trauma, and how the design of safe, participatory public art spaces can assist that process.
"What could be possible if we designed our communities, whether in policy, physical space or in culture, with both our fragility and resilience in mind?"
