Riverfront Park set for partial opening Oct. 9

Riverfront Park, located along Sophia Street in Historic Downtown Fredericksburg, is preparing for a partial opening to the public on Saturday, October 9 -- the same day a ceremony will be held to mark the completion of the nearby Chatham Bridge.

Chatham Bridge to reopen Oct. 10

The improved Chatham Bridge between the City of Fredericksburg and Stafford County will reopen to vehicle traffic on Sunday, Oct. 10, after 16 months of repair and reconstruction. The day before the detour is removed, the public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony and pedestrian preview on the bridge on Saturday, Oct. 9.

Marker for Freedom Rides unveiled at ceremony

City welcomes meeting planners to FredNats Stadium

Fredericksburg City staff welcomed seven meeting planners to include Sports Virginia and their guests to the FredNats stadium on Wednesday, September 15th for a tour of the stadium and ballgame viewed from the City suite.
