CELT LAUNCHES ITS SIYAPHUMELELA 2.0 MOVING THE MIDDLE PROJECT FOR STUDENTS

The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) launched its Siyaphumelela 2.0 Moving the Middle Project (MtM) for students last Tuesday, 14 September 2021 via Microsoft Teams.

The Siyaphumelela 2.0 Moving the Middle Project focuses on understanding the multiple challenges that are impacting on student success which creates a large middle cohort that remain in transition in academic programmes and identifying and implementing strategies for enhancing success.

DUT SUCCESSFULLY HOSTS ITS FIRST EVER STUDENT BUSINESS FESTIVAL

To cultivate the culture of active participation amongst students as drivers of economy, the Durban University of Technology (DUT) successfully hosted its first ever virtual DUT Student Business Festival (SBF) from Monday, 20 September 2021 to Thursday, 23 September 2021.

RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ONLINE EXHIBITION ENCOURAGES INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

In a programme themed: Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Online Exhibition which was held online recently, the Research and Postgraduate Support (RPS) Directorate at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) had invited staff and students to participate in a competition to present their research findings dwelling mainly on how the results can be translated to SMMEs or innovation.

The competition required that participants present their research findings via a mini video of not more than five minutes, or through a banner/poster, or a 3-5 slide PowerPoint.
