Dear all,
Last week, the president of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, delivered her State of the Union’s speech to set out priorities for the year ahead, including her intention to launch a new European Care Strategy.
We welcome this ambition for the European Union to lead towards a more caring society and economy and call on the Commission to fully take into account the family dimension of care in designing this new EU strategy. You can read our proposals here.
We also invite you to Save the Date for our next Policy and Advocacy session on the 22nd of November where we will be discussing parent-child relationships in the digital era. More information here.
Happy reading,
Bettina
