Principal's Message

Good Morning McGaugh Families,

Thank you for the outpouring of love and support. The teachers and staff have deeply appreciated every shared sentiment, every hug, and every thoughtful message of love and encouragement.

Our district’s wellness counselor and school psychologist continue to be on campus and available to support students and staff. We know that finding the right words tends to be challenging during difficult moments like these. Our counseling team has been tremendously helpful in facilitating conversations with students and providing teachers with supportive language to use in the classroom.

As a community, you've been nothing short of amazing. Your unbridled support and love for the McQuiston's has been incredibly heartwarming. But even for a close school community like ours, knowing how to best support the McQuiston's can be as hard as finding the right words to say. Through conversations with Brandon McQuiston, I've learned that the Gregory's and McQuiston's are close. Angela Gregory is helping to communicate the best ways to support the family's needs. We have an incredibly supportive and generous community, and I know how our hearts break for the McQuiston family. If you’re looking for ways to support, please feel free to reach out to Angela Gregory via email at arosegregory@gmail.com. If it is more convenient for you to bring something to school, please leave it in the front office. We’ll be sure to get it over to Angela.

This week, our teachers and staff will meet to discuss how we will honor Mrs. McQuiston's legacy on campus. I'll be sure to keep the community informed.

Thank you again for your continued support of the McQuiston's during this challenging time.

Please know:

  •  “Come Walk In My Shoes'' was such a success. Thank you for your support.  It was nice to see so many parents volunteering to support our teachers with facilitating lessons and activities to teach our students about individual differences as part of building an inclusive culture. The day was filled with opportunities for students to learn about the visible and invisible differences, which is important when developing students' empathy and kindness. Thank you!

Rah, McGaugh!

It’s BAAACCK!! McGaugh’s Annual School Carnival & Silent Auction – October 23rd!

Save the Date – Saturday, October 23rd from 10am – 4pm
We’re excited to bring back McGaugh’s legendary school carnival!  This year’s event will have a lot of the classic traditions our community has grown to love, along with some other new attractions that are going to be epic. It’s going to be the best carnival yet!   More details on tickets and wristbands to come soon!

Thank You!!!

Project SEEK’s first fundraiser of the school year was a success (and a blast)! Thank you for coming to skate night and joining in the fun!  You helped to raise over $1000 to support your children’s art, STEM and media classes.

Help! Your donations are needed for our Silent Auction

The annual McGaugh Silent Auction is quickly approaching and we need donations!

Have season tickets to a sporting event or theatre? Vacation Home? Business connection that wants to help out a 501(c)(3) non-profit? Unused gift cards from places you don’t really go to? We will take them and make money to give back to our school and kids! Please ask your favorite restaurants while there or pass along any info you have that many we willing to donate to.

Click here for the donation form, stop by the front office or contact Steve Miller anytime. You can also make a monetary donation, create a basket or donate items in your family name. Donations can be left in the front office or call Steve to arrange for pickup.

Remember, the carnival and silent auction are PTA’s largest fundraisers of the year. PTA funds our educational programs like PEACE Week and International Culture Club, school field trips, the new marquee, school assemblies and more! Our community support has been vital to the success of our auctions in the past so let’s keep it going!

Contact Silent Auction Chair with any questions or to arrange a pickup.
