NLS Seeks Patrons with Physical Disabilities for Photo Shoot
Would you like to show your love of braille or talking books by participating in a photo shoot? To raise awareness about its services, the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), Library of Congress, is photographing patrons who have a physical disability that prevents them from using regular print materials. Your participation will help encourage more people to take advantage of NLS resources.
If you are willing to be photographed, or if you have any questions, please contact Clint Dobrinski at 989-545-9940 or cdobrinski@reingold.com. Everyone who expresses interest will be interviewed over the phone before selections for the photo shoot are made. Unfortunately, due to limited capacity, some people interested in participating may not be selected for the photo shoot.
Selected participants will be scheduled for a photo shoot on Wednesday, October 6, in the Washington, D.C., area. Once selected, all participants will be asked to sign a release form giving NLS permission to use their images. Photos taken at the shoot will be used in marketing and communications materials that encourage eligible people to enroll in the braille and talking book program.
This photo shoot will follow all applicable COVID-19 guidelines. Only people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or who provide a negative COVID-19 test result from a test administered within three days of the event will be able to participate. Proof of full vaccination or negative test will be required. According to the CDC, a person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose in a two-dose series (such as the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine).

Best regards,
