The State of the Sector Survey provides BVSC Research with the most comprehensive data set about the health of Birmingham’s community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) Sector. It was launched by BVSC Research in 2020 and is being repeated again this Autumn.

‘There’s A Better Way’ campaign launched to tackle begging and promote giving

Birmingham City Council has launched ‘There’s a Better Way’ campaign across the city in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority. Over the coming weeks two digital posters will be displayed prominently at key points around the city making the point that ‘There’s a Better Way’ than giving to someone who is begging on the street or at the road side and instead to donate to Change into Action.

Home Truths: Undoing racism and delivering real diversity in the charity sector

The charity sector has a problem with racial and ethnic diversity. Black, Asian and Minoritised Ethnic (BAME) people are under-represented in the sector and those who are in charities can be subject to racism and antagonism not faced by white colleagues.

Domestic Abuse Needs Assessment for Birmingham - Have Your Say!

BVSC have been commissioned to undertake a comprehensive assessment of need in relation to domestic abuse in Birmingham.  This assessment enables those affected by domestic abuse and services who work with people affected by domestic abuse, to have a voice. We have therefore designed two questionnaires to seek information from both those affected personally by domestic abuse and those who work with survivors of domestic abuse in Birmingham.
