Latest News in Healthtech Innovation

|
InterSystems has partnered with the healthcare company Cognetivity to support an AI solution that can detect dementia ‘up to 15 years earlier’ than conventional methods. Cognetivity’s Integrated Cognitive Assessment (ICA), detects the earliest signs of disease before the onset of memory symptoms by testing how the brain reacts to certain types of images. The InterSystems IRIS for Health data platform is specifically engineered to extract value from healthcare data. Jonathan El-Sharkawy, Chief Technology Officer, Cognetivity, said: “The unique data management and integration capabilities of InterSystems IRIS platform are essential to what we do. They give us the interoperability and agility our cutting-edge technology requires to help transform dementia care pathways right across the NHS.”

Announcing Digital Therapeutics Conference Track on the Main Stage at GIANT Health Event 2021

Lancaster based ViraCoat Limited has announced the global launch of a new range of antiviral and antimicrobial personal protective equipment (PPE) masks that begin to kill SARS-CoV-2 and other viruses on contact. These masks are impregnated with a novel and patented antiviral and antimicrobial coating that completely kills SARS-CoV-2 virus within minutes, reducing the risk of contamination during handling of the masks and therefore transfer of the virus to the wearer or patient.

Fundraising - leading health tech innovators raising capital
|
|
|
DiA Imaging Analysis, an Israeli company that provides AI-driven ultrasound analysis to help clinicians with their procedures, has announced that it has completed a $14 million funding round with investors including Alchimia Ventures, Downing Ventures, ICON Fund, Philips, and XTX Ventures, bringing its total investment to $25 million. Its solution, LVivi Toolbox, which imitates the way that the human eye detects borders and motion to help capture the right ultrasound images and automatically spot abnormalities that might be otherwise too difficult to spot naturally, is currently serving thousands of users in more than 20 countries and deployed on ultrasound devices and healthcare system.
