Dr. Kinlock will discuss Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Critical Pedagogy theory (CPT), presenting the latter as a more effective and comprehensive analytic framework for conceptualizing racism and social inequality in education. This session explores how critical pedagogy theory can be useful in challenging dominant ideological frameworks and culturally exclusive pedagogies that center Whiteness in the classroom. Insights covered may be especially useful for educational researchers, policymakers, and practitioners in urban education. To register for this webinar, Please Click Here

AEC Presidential Search
As you know by now the AEC Executive Committee is involved in the Presidential Search process. It was voted at our last meeting to initiate a Conference-wide prayer initiative on behalf of the Executive Committee for God's wisdom and guidance in selecting the next President.
God's Word is replete with numerous accounts when His people were faced with critical decisions or facing tumultuous challenges, the people went into seasons of prayer and intercession. Our situation is no different. We desperately need God's inspiration, infusion, and direction in our decision-matrix and protocol.
Hence, the next three Wednesdays are set apart as days of prayer for the task at hand. As you invite your members to join us in presenting our petitions to the Lord,
Shift - Men's Ministry Upcoming event This is a ministry opportunity that I did not think the men and local church men's ministry departments of AEC could miss. Dr. Edmonds who has been doing some transformational ministry with men in the last year or so has recorded a special invite for all of our AEC Pastors, Men's Ministry leaders, Staff, and Volunteers to join him and his team, September 20th where they will give practical tools and tips for transformational men's ministry.
And get this... it is 100% free of charge. Take a look at the website, watch the video he sent, and by all means register for the conference.
