Big Breakfast 2021

A massive thank you to all who helped coordinate and run the Big Breakfast on 15 September, 2021 at Eatons Hill Hotel.

From the committee and helpers, to those attending, to purchasers of raffle tickets, to sponsors, to our fantastic speaker, Phillip Di Bella, it was a great success.

We look forward to sharing the total amount raised for our not for profits. Thank you to all of our sponsors below for making this event possible.

We did it. We held our 2020-2021 Annual fundraiser on 15 September at the Eatons Hill Hotel. It was a fabulous event, enjoyed by everyone who attended.

This event is held to support our local Not for Profits. Our team of volunteers under the chair of Michelle O’Hara (OH Marketing) who guided the team, held fast under trying circumstances, worked tirelessly, and encouraged her team to bring the Breakfast to fruition.

Our special thanks to MBRIT for their continuing support for our Chamber and all we do and their support over the years. To Peter Dutton who attended in person at our July monthly Breakfast event which celebrated our Not For Profits and decided on the spot to increase his Bronze Sponsorship to Gold.  Thank you also to our other sponsors.

Potential Economic Benefits from the 2032 Olympics in South East Queensland
We had an informative presentation at our Chamber Breakfast on 24 Aug 2021 Breakfast from Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) Oriana Wyrozebska their GM of Tourism & Investment. As time goes on we aim to be given more information on how our area might benefit these Olympic Games. Rather than go into the early details, I have attached a copy of the presentation. Building Better Mountain Bike Trails and Tourism opportunities in nearby State Conservation Parks.
It is marvellous the diversity of our Chamber Advocacy Committee in that one member is planning and working to build better facilities in the promotion of Mountain Bike Tourism to our Area which has huge potential. In early September 2021 a trail building day was held at Bunyaville Conservation Park with a group of students from Mt Maria College.

The day was organised and supported by the crew from Northside Trail Care Alliance, Project Booyah, TRACTION, Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service, and BlueSky Trails. It was great to see the boys getting stuck into the trail building activities and testing their work when we were done. Key outcomes from the day were to share the fundamentals of sustainable trail building with the students and to help create the next generation of trail advocates. These days will form the foundation of creating career pathways into trail building and natural area management for students. Thanks to Project Booyah, TRACTION, NTCA and QPWS from Craig Meinicke.

Would you also like to volunteer in these projects??  Brian
