Dear Kensington BRZ members,
Regarding yesterday’s attempt to try to start to provide clarity about the new provincial restrictions, the third question/answer set should also have included as part of the answer that if your business is not participating in the REP then you are limited to one-third fire code occupancy.
I was in another City meeting today where, again, there is little consistency or clarity being provided by the province.
I asked again today about City branded signs for your windows and doors. The City committed to try to provide downloadable printable signage by Sunday evening at the latest. Please go to the City of Calgary website: https://www.calgary.ca/business-economy.html for the new signage.
The City is sending an urgent message to the province asking for more information and for clarity regarding the new restrictions.
I am advocating for grants for additional costs experienced by businesses participating in the REP.
I apologize for not being able to offer you more information to help you all adjust to these restrictions.
