Here is what is happening at Central this week:

*Sunday School begins at 9:30am. Children in PreK - 5th grade meet in their respective rooms in the education wing, students grades 6-12 meet in the Youth Room, infant - 3 years old meet in the nursery, Randy’s class meets in the chapel, and the Men’s Class meets in the Freeman House. The Women's Sunday school class meets in the Cooper House.

*Our brand new Sunday School class, seeking to answer the question: Who is Jesus, really? using the book Gentle and Lowly meets upstairs in the Cooper House.

*Communion Worship begins at 10:30am in the sanctuary. Additional seating is available in the chapel. Nursery is available for children ages infant through preschool. For those joining us from home, you can find our online worship folder and sermon notes at www.centralpresb.org/worship.
 
*Children’s Worship during the sermon for children’s ages K-5 for 2021 is based on the theme, “Simply Loved”. Parents must come pick them up in the upstairs TK classroom after worship.
 
*Find our live-stream of the 10:30 service on our homepage or Facebook.
 
*We are continuing to collect food for the Downtown Rescue Mission food pantry. You can find our bins located outside of the Cooper House from 9am to 1pm each weekday.

*The flowers beautifying the sanctuary this week are given by Jimmy and Charlotte Park to the glory of God and in memory of two special mother's born the same day, Elizabeth Adams and Charlotte McEachin, mothers of Lucia Eidt and Charlotte Park.

Hurricane Ida Relief
Our EPC Brothers & Sisters in Louisiana are in need of help digging out, recovering and getting back on their feet after hurricane Ida blew through southern LA. The Gulf South Presbytery has invited nearby EPC presbyteries to lend a hand. And, as you can imaging the list of items is something with which we are all too familiar from our tornadoes. However, getting stuff delivered is currently uncertain due to power restoration and travel restrictions.
 
We are told that once power and water is restored, work teams will be hosted by First Thibodaux. More coordinating guidance will follow for those who want to make the trip.
 
HOWEVER, in the mean time cash always helps.

Returns this Wednesday, September 22nd at 11:30am in the Cooper House

New Adult Sunday School Class


A new Sunday School Class facilitated by Dan Kish and others meets at 9:30 am in the big classroom upstairs in the Cooper House.  We will seek to discover the true identity and heart of Jesus as revealed to us in Scripture using the book Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers by Dane Ortlund. Please see or contact Dan for more information.

Its Shoe Box Time!
Operation Christmas Child boxes are distributed to many children that have never received a gift before.  
These boxes have been instrumental in bringing whole families to know Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior.  
Please help us as a congregation to contribute to this soul saving ministry! 
Please put your contributions in the labeled container by the stairs.
 
MOST NEEDED - Boy and Girl Sizes: 2-4, 5-9, 10-14
T-Shirts, underwear, socks, 
soccer balls with small pumps, compass, 
kazoos, slinkies, yo-yos, marbles, jacks
 
Please continue to pray for the boys and girls who will receive a box and ask God
to prepare their hearts to respond to His love through these simple treasures.
 
If you wish to help ship a box to a child, 
the cost is $9.00 per box.
