Hello, Knitting and Crocheting Friends,

The 2021 MadTown Yarn Shop Hop is only a few weeks away and we can't wait! Even though it doesn't start until the 8th of October, we're so impatient for the festivities to begin that we decided to get a head start on the fun.

Every year we create a special colorway for the Shop Hop and this year is no different. A brand new Modernist colorway called Have Yarn, Will Travel will be making its debut in the store on the first day of the event, but we're opening up a week-long pre-order so you can be sure to get this never-before-seen yarn on your favorite Knitcircus base. This pre-order ends September 23rd at 11:59 pm CDT and is NOT limited to Shop Hop participants. That means anyone can order it! And if you are indeed stopping at Knitcircus while on the Hop you can take your yarn home with you and we will refund your shipping; any pre-orders not picked up will be shipped out the following week.

The inspiration photo below gives you an idea of what colors are included in the yarn, but we won't be revealing the colorway until the weekend of the Shop Hop!

Preorder one of these Modernist cakes or find yourself a matching Modernist socks set.

NEW: Ice and Fire gradient
An epic tale of lords and ladies, distant lands, and the struggle for power is all wrapped up in Ice and Fire gradient. This Game of Thrones themed colorway combines the bright blues of the far north with the smoldering reds of the warm southern lands. Use this dramatic gradient to knit a Swivel Cowl with 100g of Divine DK, enjoy working on a Reversa shawl with 100g of Opulence, or a Blufftop hat with 100g of Ringmaster. Use 100g of Greatest of Ease or 100g of Trampoline to crochet the Copper Beech shawl or make a Alkira Cowl with 100g of Opulence. Grab a medium or large matching socks set and make a pair of Stargazer socks, Whispers in the Wind socks, or the Navigate Socks
NEW: Winging It speckle
Some of the best things come when we just let go and wing it! This gorgeous neutral colorway was originally dyed as part of our Paws and Claws club inspired by the majestic barn owl. Knit the Flying North socks with 100g of Greatest of Ease, make a Crystal Twist shawl with 100g of Opulence, or cast on a Mealach cowl with 100g of Breathtaking BFL. Crochet an Untamed Beanie with 100g of Divine DK, a Wading In shawl with 100g of Trampoline, or a Kaitlyn cowl with 100g of Spectacular. Use 100g of Daring DK to knit a Crevasse Hat or 100g of Ringmaster to make a Gifty Cowl
NEW: Murmur of Bees cowl
Two of our favorite colorways have come together to create this Murmur of Bees cowl! Designed with our best-selling Flight of the Bumblebee speckle, this accessory uses purl stitches against a stockinette stitch background to really make the "bees" pop. The honeycomb stitch featured in the bottom half of the cowl makes this a sweet celebration of the humble bumblebee. The Murmur of Bees cowl is knit with 100g of Wisconsin Desert semi-solid and 50g of Flight of the Bumblebee speckle in our Ringmaster worsted weight base.
