OCEANIA RUGBY STATEMENT

Oceania Rugby has been made aware that the Australian Federal Police (AFP) has charged a Rugby Australia (RA) employee who is also the RA delegate to Oceania Rugby with criminal offences.

Together with RA, Oceania Rugby takes all matters relating to the behaviour of Union employees and representatives very seriously.

Oceania Rugby has the highest standards of conduct and behaviour expectations for our staff, members and their representatives especially in relation to the safeguarding of vulnerable population groups.

Oceania Rugby has been informed by RA that the individual's employment has been terminated effective immediately and that the individual is no longer the RA delegate to Oceania Rugby. Oceania Rugby supports this action from RA in line with our respective policies.
