The Letter From The Consulate

No. 168.
Gentofte/Copenhagen, Thursday 7. October 2021
Dear reader,

As we all know, politicians and politics are absolutely not everything. So let´s start this October newsletter with fashion and jewelry.

Bela Maci: Bela has managed to filter and get the best, to transform tradition into modern by making them stay together very well. Let alone her feminine dresses inspired by Albanian men's costumes, without losing their femininity, elegance and comfort.

But how does Bela introduce herself?
"I was born and raised in a family of artists," she writes on her Instagram page @bela_maci. embodied in the paintings of the realistic period. The details and shape of the folk costumes have been the part that attracted me the most. The elements of the jubilee in color and shape, of tirqas, jamadani, shirt folds, socks, vests, have always conveyed my taste well and the desire to preserve and create clothing that can very beautifully be used to this day. I think to do "art", you must first know the tradition ".
