What's Your Story?
Hi <<First Name>>
“After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories
are the thing we need most in the world.”
...Philip Pullman
Everyone has a story to tell and stories are a vital tool in the L&D professional's kit bag. Stories based on real experience are particularly powerful as they can both entertain and inspire, while also conveying an important learning lesson.
Which is why we are excited about tomorrow's masterclass, when we will hear the background stories from 6 ILP members, on how they got started, lessons they learned and their experiences. And we expect they will be six quite different stories.
One is newly out of employment and starting her own L&D business; two are inside well-established organisations with successful careers and one has some side interests; a couple have extensive experience both having been L&D leaders in-house and then running their own successful businesses for more than 20 years, and another has recently reinvented how he operates. Did You Know - Hints, Tips, News
Did you know, that ILP offers a certification for learning solutions? That is the programs you design and facilitate.
Based on the ILP L&D Capability Framework all ILP certifications, provide you with a process to reflect on yourself, the work you do as a Designer, Facilitator, or Consultant and to have an experienced mentor work with you to allow you, and your solution to stand out from the crowd. Are you ready to get your certification?
ILP would like to congratulate Leonie Cutts from CCS Cards for having their Certified CCS Practitioner Program approved as a Certified Learning Solution, with thanks to Matt Mason (our assessor).

Brisbane Social Meetup
Brisbane is lucky enough not to be in lockdown, and we hope it stays that way, so the social gathering they have on 19 October goes ahead.
Well, that's almost it for this week. Just a reminder that if you haven't done so already, join our private LinkedIn group - ILP Member Hub.
To finish we would like to send a shout out to the more than 70 New Members we have welcomed since mid-July, and in particular, our new Fellows, who are clearly leaders in the L&D Community we love so much.

The ILP Community is surging along and we want YOU our members and friends to spread the word about the massive value we are providing. Please share this update with all your passionate L&D colleagues.
Have a good rest of the week. Cheers.

Are you looking for more work, or a new opportunity to advance your career? If you are you NEED to update your member profile.
Almost every week organisations contact ILP looking for L&D professionals. Recent examples include 6+ professionals in South Australia. Another is looking for two senior learning designers, and we have corporate members and strategic partners looking for people.
Our advice is they scan our Member Directory, and we promote these opportunities in our Newsfeed, so be sure to keep an eye on that.
