— Simon, Horsedrawn Traveller
Dear supporter,
Simon's story shows us how draconian the Government’s Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is. Under the new proposals, Simon may be subject to a fine, imprisonment or have his home seized, for the crime of having nowhere to go.
Thank you for taking action to email your MP and letting them know that you oppose these proposals.
Please join us on, Saturday 25th September, between 5:30pm - 7:00pm in the Conference Room at Community Base, Brighton, for our Labour Fringe Panel Discussion:
'What does the Policing Bill mean for Gypsy and Traveller communities?'
Further details are available on our website.
The event, which is part of The World Transformed festival, will be chaired by Mary Foy MP.
Please note, those aged 11 and over will need to provide proof of a negative lateral flow test (within 24hours) or negative PCR test (within 48 hours) in order to gain entry to this and all The World Transformed events. Find out more.
Friends, Families and Travellers, community members and allies will continue to fight the criminalisation of trespass every step of the way. We hope you will join us.
In solidarity,
Sarah Mann
