A great way to foster the growth of a life-long learner is to make learning enjoyable. Here’s a simple game that is quick and easy to set up that will help assist your child with learning math in a way that is fun.
The Setup:
Step 1. Create a bingo sheet by evenly dividing a piece of paper into 25 boxes by drawing 5 horizontal lines and 5 vertical lines. Within each of these boxes, write a number.
Step 2. Next, write out at least 30 math problems on pieces of paper. Make sure that the answer to 25 of these math problems is equal to the 25 different numbers you wrote in the boxes in step 1.
How to Play:
Randomly select a math problem from the problems that you came up with in Step 2. Set a timer for 20 seconds and display the math problem until the timer runs out. The player has until the time runs out to solve the problem and place a marker on the corresponding number on their bingo sheet.
