After Lane’s tilt with Lincoln Park got rained-out Friday night, their offensive struggles seemed to wash away, as Lane put up 29 points to easily get past Lincoln Park for their first win of the season. Two passing touchdowns each by Lane’s quarterbacks Mark Seward and Donnell Adams, complimented by strong rushing from running back Daehyun Kim, led the Lane offense. Editors-in-Chief Alex Burstein and Mara Mellits have a full recap and photo gallery from the 29-6 conference win.

After a heartbreaking loss on the football field to Whitney Young, Lane looked to get some revenge Wednesday night in boys soccer. But, an early strike from the Dolphins would set all the momentum Whitney needed, as Whitney easily got past Lane 3-1 under the lights at Lane Stadium. Managing Editor Aidan Sadovi and Editor-in-Chief Mara Mellits have a game recap and gallery from the loss.
Opinion

Students wait in the halls of Lane to pick up football tickets after school on Sept. 17. (Alex Burstein for The Champion)

“This school’s size means becoming lost in a shuffle is an inevitability, something not to be avoided but embraced. Your friend eating lunch with somebody else: go read in the library (it sometimes runs out of space). Your crush rejected you: cry in the fourth floor bathroom (I promise no one goes in there). What I wish I had understood as a youthful freshman is that it’s OK if not everyone likes you, and it’s also OK to hang out alone sometimes,” Managing Editor Theo Gary writes in his opinion on truly understanding Lane’s size.
