Didn't we just do this email last week?

We're not kidding when we say a new box seems to arrive every other day. Yes, we have more things to show you this week, some brand new and some restocks. Get ready for some eye candy!

Another brand new to us yarn has arrived!


This is Kos from Sandnes Garn.

This scrumptious bulky weight is made of alpaca, nylon, and wool and is, miraculously, machine washable.

It's light, lofty, and great for snuggly sweaters for everyone from kids to adults. It also happens to be one of the yarns Tracy is recommending for her Novice Sweater class so, if you're a student, pop over to the shop or the website to check it out!

It's gorgeous, as usual.

Restocks!

We know there are still plenty of you out there who are knitting with cotton, especially for babies. No really, every week it seems we have at least 5 folks who come in and say "there's a baby on the way and I need to make something!"

We've just gotten in a few more colors of the bulky favorite, Bud from Juniper Moon Farm. This organic cotton yarn is great for blankets, sweaters, hats, you name it, and the super fun colors mean whatever you make won't be boring.


Speaking of favorites, a few colors of Rowan Felted Tweed have also arrived - just in time for all your fall making needs. We had plenty of darker colors but were all out of some of our favorite lighter shades.

A perennial best seller, DK weight Felted Tweed is particularly great for sweaters and shines especially well in colorwork. We've also seen it used to great effect in mittens, scarves, and cowls. What will you use it for?

Need some beautiful buttons to go with that sweater you're about to finish or the perfect funky closure to give that shawl a little je ne sais quoi?


We've just added some handmade clay buttons and shawl pins to the shelves (these are just a few shown here) and we can't wait to see them sewn up on a sweater or accenting a lovely wrap.

Berroco Project of the Week

What is it about cables and tweed that just screams fall??

This is "Chapin".

This one is for the more experienced knitters out there - bottom up construction, lots of charted cables, & saddle shoulders. If cables are your jam, this is the project for you!

This sweater is written for sizes from 32.5" - 62.25" and has a recommended positive ease of 2"-4". You'll also need US size 3 & 5 needles, stitch markers, a darning needle, and a cable needle to complete this project.

The beautiful, tweed yarn is Berroco Providence, a DK weight blend of merino wool, baby alpaca, and silk.

Providence has a gauge of 20-23 stitches to 4" and comes in 15 beautiful colors all named for favorite Rhode Island places and things. It retails for $13/ball and each ball has 191 yards.
