Latinx Engineering Day Volunteers Needed!
Sunday, September 26th
Sign up to be a volunteer at the 22nd Annual Latinx Engineering Day! You can sign up for a 2-hour shift as a greeter, check-in assistant, STEM activity assistant, and much more. Here's a little more about the program:
SFBA and the Exploratorium team up year after year to host a FREE bi-lingual family friendly event to promote STEM for Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month. In addition to all the exhibits at the museum being open, we will be offering bi-lingual hands-on STEM activities, special talks, an engineering panel moderated by Telemundo, and a special booth with UCSF doctors who will be answering COVID-19 questions. The Exploratorium leads the events but we rely on volunteers to assist and interact with the families. Depending on when your shift is, we will be providing Breakfast or Lunch to the volunteers.

HES Jr. Chapter Research Mentor Program
Are you interested in leading Berkeley high school students through a STEM project?
The Hispanic Engineers and Scientist organization at UC Berkeley will be hosting a STEM mentorship and research program for high school students this year! The purpose of the program is to teach students what STEM is at the university level. We will follow closely introductory courses offered at UC Berkeley such as CBE 40, MSE 45, ME 40. This will also allow high school students to gain more background in a particular STEM field. In addition, the final projects which will be presented May 2022 to UC Berkeley faculty and students.

The University of California Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program (a.k.a McNair) invites you to submit an application for their 2021-22 cohort. Boeing Scholarship
App Due: September 30th
UC Berkeley's College of Engineering is proud to partner with Boeing to provide scholarships to sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors. 4 scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each will be awarded to undergraduate engineering students. The application deadline is September 30.
