Sunday Morning
This coming Sunday morning , 26th September 10.30am., we conclude our series looking at the questions Jesus asked.  6GIVE L❤️VE IN A B❤️X THIS CHRISTMAS

Teams4U have been doing amazing work.

Last year they sent nearly 50 thousand Christmas shoeboxes to Romania, Belarus, Bosnia and Moldovia. Also, within those countries and further afield such a Georgia, Uganda and Sierra Leone, they support Social projects for poorer families, Feeding banks and stations, the work of Primary Schools and Access to clean water. Their 'Develop with Dignity' project promotes the ending of period shame, providing washable sanitary pads and addressing adolescent sexual health. They also have Vocational training programmes.
Christmas Shoeboxes

There are many ways to be involved in giving a Christmas Shoebox, please pick up a leaflet in Church. There will also be prepared shoeboxes or feel free to decorate your own. There will a larger box for donation of any gifts for the boxes.
Boxes are collected in by early November but it is never too early to start!
Please contact me, Jill Jackson, for any further information. I am happy to deliver leaflets and boxes to your home.

11.  Wirral Festival of Firsts 2021

Our church is participating in the festival of First this year. On Sat2nd  and  Sun 3rd October.  Some of us will be exhibiting  our own church.More details are to be found at https://wirralfestivaloffirsts.org.uk/
A Wirral Festival of Firsts Event will take place in our Church building between 10 - 4pm on saturday and 12 - 4pm on Sunday. There are 18 other venues (mainly churches) involved with over 50 local artists, craft groups, schools and pop up poetry events taking place. At the event in our church there will be exhibits from some of our own church family, a prayer focal point and we hope to offer refreshments. This is such a great opportunity to open our doors to the community and showcase Jesus through our love and welcome. This is an exciting opportunity which has come our way as the Wirral Festival of Firsts approached us directly and is a great thing to invite your friends to.
Volunteers needed 1
We are looking forward to welcoming the community to the church on the 2nd and 3rd October for Festival of Firsts.  We REALLY do need your help with stewarding.  A sign up sheet is at the back of church.

Volunteers needed 2
to deliver Festival of First leaflets to businesses and homes throughout West Kirby.  If you like walking but want to do it with a purpose , this would be a great way to get some exercise. This is to advertise that our church will be open over the weekend of 2 and 3rd October, for the community to visit, look at art and also the displays we are putting on to showcase what our church is involved in.
We also need help in stewarding the event and providing refreshments - so if you think you can help out for either of these days for an hour or more please can you let Jane Gamble know either when you see me in church or at jane.gamble68@gmail.com.
There will be a sign up sheet for you to say you can help in church on Sunday - and a mao to show you where to distribute the leaflets.

Poetry Pop up at Festival of Firsts – WKURC 02/03 Oct

We will host a 30 mins poetry pop up each day themed – Christian poetry – words for today – on each of Saturday and Sunday.

Would you like to contribute / perform a poem that has significance for you?
Please see Tony Wilson – OrganiserTonwil08@me.com    07711-285892

Please be praying for this event, and spread the word that we are open to all.
From 1 September a detailed map and programme will be available from local outlets or to download from the festival website

12. Finally...
Today's musical choice is a more recent piece but a lovely composition . Stuart Townend composed this, based on the 23rd psalm. It really encapsulates all that is important in life. I hope you enjoy The Lord's my Shepherd.
Just close your eyes and enjoy
