💵 There could be a hefty refund in store for Floridians across the state… if they ever get around to claiming it. Per CBS Miami, “More than 30,000 families have yet to claim over $200 million worth of refunds from Florida’s Prepaid College Tuition Program.” The average amount of unclaimed funds per account is reportedly $4,700. “This is a time when we know that there are families who could definitely use a $4,700 check,” said program spokeswoman Shannon Colavecchio. “We don’t want to hold it. We would like you to have it and claim it.” Check the following links to learn more about the program and find out if there’s any cash flow coming your way. ➡️ (CBS Miami / WTSP

🏥 Oolite Arts is launching a new exhibition today in celebration of World Gratitude Day and the healthcare heroes who’ve tended to Miamians during the pandemic. The On The Frontline exhibit features portraits of 30 staff members at Mount Sinai Medical Center illustrated by five Miami-based artists including past New Tropic interviewee Chire “VantaBlack” Regans. The portraits will be on display through Feb. 12, 2022 in the lobby of Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Skolnick Surgical Tower. (Oolite Arts)

😷 Miami International Airport has landed the top spot in an unfortunate list. Per WMFE, “Three Florida airports fall in the top five airports in the country for TSA workers who are sick with COVID,” and MIA arrived at number one. According to the story, there have been more than 500 cases among the airport’s TSA officers since the pandemic began. (WMFE)
