Friday, September 24th
This Friday the Mr Bill Show will be here in the Freedom Hall. They play all over Jacksonville but this is there first time here, so be sure to come on out and show them some love. 
Friday, September 24th
KJ Bistol will be here this Friday starting at 7 pm in the Liberty Hall. So come on out for karaoke you will be happy you did! 
Saturday, September 25th
This week we have the Vucca Street Food truck. They advertise as regional Italian street food. The menu is constantly changing but the food is amazing. So be sure to come in hungry on Saturday and give them a try.

Queen of Diamonds this Saturday! 
We had another winner last week. They pulled a Queen of Spades and took home 10% of the pot. The Queen of Diamonds is still up for grabs so be sure to be here this week for your chance to win. 

Please note that the only day you can get tickets is Saturdays from 6 pm to 645 pm. 

As the pot grows this may change. We will keep you updated. 
Queen Raffle Rules
You can watch us draw the winning ticket for the Queens raffle live on Facebook by going to our "Post 129 Members" page. You need to be a member of the Facebook group to watch the video so be sure to request your membership this week if you haven't already done so. Link to group is below.

The SAL will be raffling off a Yeti cooler this month. Tickets can be purchased for $1 for one ticket or $5 for six tickets. See any SAL member this month to get your tickets. 
The staff has, once again, been tested for Covid and all test have come back negative. We will test again in two weeks. 
There have been some rumors going around the Post and some of them are true. Some of them are not. What is true is that we will be getting point of sale system within the next few months.

What is not true is that there are plans to increase prices. There are also no plans, at this point, to start taking credit cards. 

So for the most part from your point as members nothing will really change much. It's just going to be a different machine that your drinks are rang up on. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask me. 
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Claire Sheehan. The family invites you to join them at the service and the celebration of life to commemorate her life. 

Mass will be held on October 7th at 8 pm at the Resurrection Church on University Blvd in Arlington

Celebration of Life will be held on October 17th at noon in the Liberty Hall here at Post 129. 

Publix will be catering the event so no covered dishes are requested. 
It is with great sadness that we inform you that Post member and dear friend, Scott Moody passed away last week. Please keep his wife Judy and their family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Karl Murphy- 
Karl is in ICU at Baptist downtown. They placed a temporary pacemaker in yesterday to help stabilize his heart rate.They are currently taking him into surgery to put in a permanent one.

Fred St Clair - 
Fred has been taken by rescue today back to the emergency room. The therapist that was at the house today fears he may be on the verge of another stroke.
Monday Nights - Starting Oct 4th 

Join us on Monday evenings in the Liberty Hall starting on October 4th  for our new exciting weekly Paint night. This is beginner painting instruction for everyone. The cost is only $10 a person (to cover supplies). This is going to be a great time. Come on out and give it a try I bet you will be happy you did! 
Football season is here! Remember we are your front row ticket to every game! With the NFL ticket and Fifteen Large Flat Screen TV's you will never miss a play by your favorite team!

Both the Liberty & Freedom Hall will be open on Sundays for football as well as the kitchen which will be serving up a delicious menu that is available below.  So plan on making Post 129 you football headquarters.
Open Mic this Wednesday, and every Wednesday night, in the Liberty hall and we couldn't be more excited! Be sure to come on up to the Liberty hall on Wednesday night and check out these fabulous musicians.

Do you know that we have Texas Hold'em every Thursday at 7 pm in the Freedom Hall? It's a ton of fun so be sure to come on up and give it a try!

Most of you are aware that we get the day old bread from Publix on Thursdays what you most likely haven't heard is that we are now getting it Tuesdays as well. So be sure to stop on by and grab a loaf or some sweets. 
Please note that there is a new membership chair for the Auxiliary. Katie Workman will now being taking on this responsibility. All new members will be voted on at the meeting in October.

It's time to renew your dues again. Although you are not delinquent until the end of the year if you pay now you save money. So why not just get it taken care of? See any officer to help you with your renewal. SAL and Legion early bird special ends September 30th so take care if this today!

Please join us in our American Legion Post 129 Saturday golf.  It is a nine hole captains choice/best ball theme.  We now have over 40 players signed up to play on Saturday Mornings. We would love to have you join us.
