 Earlier this year, Jane Henderson, president and CEO of LOCUS’ parent company, Virginia Community Capital (VCC), announced her plans to retire on the heels of an impactful four decades in the banking industry. Today, we are proud to announce Amir Kirkwood as VCC’s new executive.
Amir arrives at VCC and LOCUS by way of Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) and his role as their Chief Investment and Network Officer. As a CDFI, VCC allows LOCUS to draw on a wealth of experience in working with communities to drive capital where it’s needed most. Amir brings with him a deep expertise in community development finance that will strengthen our spirit of innovation and allow us to continue growing and thriving. We are excited to leverage our ongoing relationships with both Amir and VCC to enhance and refine our own programs, helping LOCUS' partners create more equitable economies.
