Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the Partnership for Evidence and Equity in Responsive Social Systems’ (PEERSS) first newsletter. Launched in 2018, PEERSS aims to strengthen the use of appropriate mechanisms and build conducive environments for advancing evidence-informed policymaking (EIP) in social systems, with a focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). PEERSS brings together partners from 13 countries to learn from and support each other in promoting the use of research evidence in policymaking.
In this edition of the newsletter, we feature blogs from two of our partners - the Africa Center for Evidence (ACE) in South Africa and Instituto Veredas in Brazil - that highlight their work to embed evidence use and influence policy and program level decisions. We also share reflections from our first year as the Coordinating Organization for PEERSS. Lastly, the newsletter includes publications from PEERSS partners, highlights from past partner events, and upcoming events to put on your calendars.
We invite you to share the newsletter with your networks and encourage them to subscribe here. You can also follow us on Twitter for exciting updates on the partnership.
Sincerely,
The PEERSS Coordinating Organization (Results for Development)
