FUN WITH FUNDING FINDING

One of the most generous team grants out there is the NASA grant for veteran and rookie teams. Utah typically sees two or three teams selected each year, but that could be much higher this season with NASA adding Sustaining Grants for any established FRC teams in need. Don't wait to apply! The application deadline is September 30.

OFF-SEASON GAME @ COTTONWOOD HIGH

December 11, 10a-1p, Doors open at 9a

Hi Utah FRC Mentors,
We've nailed down a place, date and time for the Preseason Robotics Competition. Cottonwood High has agreed to let us use the same facility that we've used in previous years... the school cafeteria located at 5715 S. 1300 E. The date of the competition will be Saturday, Dec 11, 2021. The first round of the competition will start at 10 a.m, and everything should finish in time for teams to leave by 1 p.m. The doors will open at 9 a.m, for teams to bring in their robots, set up their pit areas, and hopefully run a practice round before the real rounds start at 10. Each pit area will have a table and will be reasonably close to a power outlet, but it might not be immediately next to a power outlet and so you should bring a long extension cord.

I can't distribute the detailed rules yet... they're not finalized... but the preliminary guidance that I gave you earlier this month, found in the last newsletter, should be enough to get your teams started.
