Homecoming & Family Weekend is just one week away. Simply put, it's an amazing opportunity to revisit your college days and see what's new at GC. Still on the fence? Here are five reasons to come.

1. Reconnect with old friends. Whether you have a class reunion this year or not, Homecoming is a great way to connect with past classmates.
2. Catch amazing performances. You don't want to miss this year's Homecoming Music Gala, Peace Play performances, Lavender Jazz at First Friday, or Girl Named Tom (who appeared on The Voice this week!).
3. See campus changes. Have you seen our new Center for Communication Studies, Hunsberger Commons in the Union Building, or the Nyai Oyer Gamelan?
4. Experience athletics. Watch a women's soccer match or inter-squad and alumni basketball games, or join in an Ultimate Frisbee match.
5. Celebrate with the Alumni Award winners. Meet our six Alumni Award winners and find out how they exemplify our motto "Culture for Service."

Remembrance of Mary Linton
Saturday, Oct. 2, 2 p.m., Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center
Join the staff of Merry Lea to remember the impact of professor of biology emerita Mary Linton. This event will include the dedication of the newly named “Linton Swamp” and will announce the launch of a new annual summer research scholar award focused on wetland ecology. Register for this event.

At GC, we're taking reasonable COVID-19 precautions, which includes a mask requirement for all indoor events during Homecoming Weekend. As of today, 91% of students and employees are fully or partially vaccinated.
