Your move!

Has your school signed up for Your move? An initiative of the Department of Transport, it's a great way to tackle parking congestion, encourage physical activity and help the environment. Your Move is a free program helping students get active by increasing walking, scooting and riding to school. Travel behaviour change experts work with Your Move Champions to tackle traffic issues and help provide practical ways to teach & develop sustainability at your school. Participating schools get access to rewards and grants as well as the many benefits of encouraging students to walk and ride to school.

Waterwise Schools

Did you know that the Water Corporation provides access to school talks, excursions, multimedia resources, curriculum lessons and more as part of its Waterwise Schools program? The program has been significantly revised and now covers three tiers - water supply and conservation, water in Aboriginal culture and Waterwise experience - which includes an immersive silent disco incursion!

Schools Virtual Power Plant Project

Ten schools will be transformed into WA's first smart, green virtual power plant (VPP). Installation of solar panels and batteries has recently been completed and the Virtual Power Plant will now coordinate energy use and production across the schools, using it to provide services to the grid like a traditional power station. The pilot project will also include the integration of STEM learning opportunities for the students at participating schools.
