After an exciting morning of Triathlon and Duathlon, the day turned towards the epic Torch Light Trail. The conditions were pretty tough for this one with rain from start to finish which was particularly hard for the beach part of the run.
The evening race also saw the Cani-cross event, with over 20 dogs and their owners take on the 5k and 10k routes. Taking the 5k win was Neil Thomas & Oscar in a time of 00:20:45.

Zwift Racing League
Tuesday 28th September sees the start of the Zwift Racing League from 19:30 for 8-10 weeks.
This season we are running a B league (3.2-4w/kg) and a C team (2.5-3.2w/kg).
We’ve had some great fun with it over the last year. If you want to be involved or know more, let the bike lead's know, we are always on the look out for riders.
We welcome both male and females to make our minimum numbers, we have a couple of ladies from Port Sunlight Wheelers CC joining us.
Segment Challenge
We’re back to the original segment challenge format of one short segment that all members are welcome to try!! We kick things off with Cheshire West’s finest switchback, a challenging climb by Manley mere, with a large switchback in the middle, you have all of October to ride this K/QOM before a sprint segment in November. You can find more info here.
Weekend Rides
Club weekend rides resume on October 3rd and will continue every weekend alternating between Sat/Sun (navigator dependent) we aim to have 3 groups of varying speeds for all abilities.
There is no longer a cap on numbers, however sign up is still required.
We continue to struggle with enough navigators and welcome any availability to support in navigating a ride from any of our members. Email bike@chestertri.org.uk or let Jonathan Girvan or James Morgan know if you are interested. Find more group riding info here.
Other
Thanks for your feedback from a recent poll, we’re in discussions around dates with Manchester velodrome and local traffic police for a club TT - watch this space for more.
In between ZRL seasons I’ll look to set up some club events on Zwift as well as the occasional social weekend rides.
If your new to the club or been around a while and want to know more about anything bike related let Jonathan Girvan or James Morgan know.
See you on your bike.
